I'm writing to you with one hand because my right arm got jacked yesterday. I was cleaning and rearranging my office when I clumsily lost my balance with great speed and crashed through an old glass window. I now have 26 stitches in my right arm (5 on the inside and 21 big ones on the outside). It's pretty surreal. I took a Vicatin for the first time earlier today that made me really giggly and high in a dizzy way. But then the nausea totally took over and made me never want to take Vicatin again. So, I've been laying in bed with my arm wrapped up in white gauze, stained with a little "red" from the operation. It's a pretty pathetic sight. Unfortunately, I can't play the guitar for the next week, when I was supposed to go on tour with Amos Lee tomorrow. :( I'm so sad to miss these next shows in Portland, Northampton, South Burlington, and especially in Philly!!! But I should be in better shape to play after that. And thankfully, Amos and his crew have been so kind, supportive, and understanding. I'm really thankful for that.
I apologize to all the people who planned to come see me at these next 4 shows. I know I'll be back around soon, and atleast you've got tickets to a great Amos Lee show. I'll keep you all in the loop with how this next tour goes. And until then, don't fall through any glass. :) Ouch!
