last week i had a pretty hectic promo tour in europe, which was really fun, and in between, i made a music video for my song "Red Cape" in Hamburg. I've posted some pictures on myspace. During the shoot, I was performing in the playground, and these 2 tiny german girls were following me around and demanding that I say something in German. Then they announced to all the other kids, "there's an american girl here singing in English!!!!" I felt like the Pied Piper. More and more girls followed us everywhere we went, till I had my own German little girl posse. At the end of the night, our last shot was on the rooftop of a World War II bunker, whose walls are 10 ft. thick!! From the rooftop we could look down on a carnival that travels thru Hamburg a few times a year. It was crazy to be on top of this bunker, where like, there was a HUGE war. It's insane to travel thru these different cities, where war actually took place, and destroyed whole cities. For instance, there's a photo of a gothic cathedral, one of the only things left in Koeln that wasn't destroyed in the war. It was built in 1299, and took 600 years to complete. (I actually just made those numbers up.) It's jaw-dropping in person.
When I got back home, I slept 16 hours straight. It was really awesome, because I had a lot of fun dreams. The best are the flying ones, right? I bought a book on lucid dreaming but I only got to page 4 because I kept falling asleep too fast. So now I just have the book by my bedside. I look at it when I lay down and hope that some of it's lucid energy will seep into my subconscious. :) I like the word 'lucid'.
I spend my time at home now, waking up and sneezing 200 times in the morning from spring allergies, blow my nose 75 times, take a benadryl and drink a coffee, see friends, and watch my 'Jane Eyre: Masterpiece Theaters Series'. It's ridonkulous!
That right........
ridonkulous. and i spelled it with a k.
