TV ON MUTE

the other day i was recording some vocals for a tiesto track I wrote (that's right, music you can rave to!) and while i took a break and stepped into the other room, someone had cnn on mute. it was so bizarre to watch what they were showing over and over again, same pictures, same video clips, same head nods and serious looks from the anchors--not to mention the commercials. when commercials are on mute, it's easier to read all the messed up side-effects these products can cause, mentioned in the fine print. who knew meds for erectile dysfuntion could improve your sex life AND make your butt bleed? my boyfriend watches cnn a lot, so i get to hear these day time commercials sometimes. a lot of it for anxiety meds. "Do you feel tired? Do you get nervous? Do you get hungry? Do you get excited a lot? etc...." I'm like, "yes. yes. yes? yes?!" my doctor had my thyroid ultrasounded the other week. for the following 2 weeks, whenever i felt tired, or cranky, and wanted me boyfriend to basically do whatever i wanted, i'd be like, "I have a thryoid problem!"...or "I might have thryoid cancer!" .... or "I think I have to have my thryoid replaced!" Some might say I'm a hypochondriac. I'm pretty sure I'm just being manipulative. In fact, I enjoy getting sick so that I can just sit back and relax and have people bring me things when I ring my little bell. My boyfriend knows better now, and so, well.....I don't get sick as much anymore. I rely soley on pms and jet lag these days.
